Guruku Berbulu dan Berekor

September (well, this September) is not all gloomy and sad for me. I do still mourning and recovering from my recent breakup, but life goes on, right? ;)

Masih inget taun lalu gw bikin postingan buat para pecinta binatang yang tertarik ceritanya dibukukan untuk kirim email ke Indi 'Sugar' Taufik, salah satu penulis favorit gw itu? Kalo gak inget boleh klik disini kakaakk...

Gw iseng-iseng ngirim email ke Indi tentang cerita anjing gw Wawa yang udah pergi ke surga. It was quite surprising karena selesai ngetik cerita yang mau gw kirimkan itu, gw langsung nangis sesenggukan selama setengah jam lebih. Padahal Wawa udah pergi lebih dari 3 tahun sebelum gw ngirim cerita itu. But I still remember her every now and then, and her death still affects me a lot. In fact, to this day I'm still a little bit chocked up whenever I'm talking about her, or even just remembered her. Maybe that's what you feel when you lost a precious friend in your life, ya?

Singkat cerita, gw menunggu selama hampir setahun sampe akhirnya beberapa waktu yang lalu dapet email dari Indi yang ngabarin gw kalo my story made the cut to her new book! Wooooo!!!!!! Alhamdulillah girang banget rasanya! Bangga dan terharuuu, hehehehe.

Gw pun mendapatkan bukunya seminggu sebelum bukunya dirilis. It was an awesome experience to see your writing published on a book! Finally now I can call myself an author dong yaa? Hehehe. Siapa tau kedepannya bisa nerbitin novel sendiri, atau punya kolom sendiri kaya Carrie Bradshaw gitu. Aaamiinn!!! :D

Sayangnya gw gak bisa hadir di acara launching bukunya di Bandung tanggal 16 September kemarin, yang ada gw malah putus sama laki gw *halah curhat* hahahahaha. But that's okay, tetep bahagia dan bersyukur bisa ambil bagian buat buku ini.

Happy (Un)anniversary

So, on this third anniversary, we decided to separated.

Many people might ask 'why?', well, let's just say that in some relationship a couple could grow up together, and in some they just grow apart. Mine was the second one.

The lack of communications this past year (due to my co-assistant duty in various hospitals in various towns, and him working overtime a lot) leads to a feeling that we're not in the same page anymore. Also the fact that when I'm ready to take the relationship to the next level while he's not, is the deal breaker for both of us.

The tears and pain of the broken heart is definitely there. We love each other (or at least I love him) but we're not longer in love with each other. And he's done trying while I'm still do. That's the most hurtful part of it all for me.

Well, the damage is done now. All I want to say to you, dear Smeagol, are these;

Thanks for the good, bad, and wonderful memories this past 3 years. Thanks for always took a good care of me, I really appreciate everything. 

You know the introvert part of me. You know I have a little inner circle filled with few people that I can trust in my life. And I believe God made you one of those people for me. Not as a partner, but as a brother and a good friend.

I'll wish the best luck for you and your future. Our future. With whoever we'll end up with at the end of the day. You might find your beautiful princess and I might find my charming prince. Or maybe we'll end up finding each other again so many years from now like Carrie Bradshaw and Mr Big did. Or maybe... I'm going to marry Christian Bale instead! Who knows? God always have a tacky yet wonderful sense of humour, right? :D *ngarep*

For now, I just hope we can maintain our friendship, because that's what is left of us. Your future partner or mine might be disapproving, but I believe somehow all of us can overcome that. Because when we grow apart, doesn't mean that we stop growing up :)

A Few Questions Regarding The Dark Knight Rises

Disclaimer: Possible minor spoilers.

So, The Dark Knight Rises, the third and final instalment of the Batman trilogy finally released this week! And it's probably the most anticipated movie of the year.

Do I love this movie? Hell yeah! Udah minggu ke-2 rilis di Indonesia dan gw udah nonton filmya... 4 kali! Mihihihi!! Pas premiere nonton sendiri (karena geng Jiwa Grogol pada mau bertapa buat ujian), weekendnya nonton sama pacar, terus nonton sama tahabat-tahabat telcinta, terakhir nonton IMAX-nya sama pacar (finally, I'm no longer an IMAX virgin! Yay!!). Dan berhubung abis ini gw libur sebulan kayanya sih bakal nonton lagi #FansChristianBaleDanDCComicsGarisKeras!

Even though I thought the movie was a brilliant ending to wrapped up the trilogy, some of this questions still popped into my mind...

• Kenapa disaat Bruce Wayne tambah tua, Alfred Pennyworth tampangnya tetep 'segitu-segitu aja'. In fact, he didn't aged at all since Batman Begins. Does he have a unicorn blood or something?
• Berapa gaji Alfred Pennyworth? Maak! Enak bener jadi butler tiap taon bisa liburan ke Yurop!
• Selina Kyle is supposed to be poor kan ya di film ini? But where does she get those expensive Catwoman costume? From the money that she's stole? Does somebody give it to her? How? (Oh, beberapa taun kedepan mau ada film spin-off Catwoman ya? Mungkin bisa menjawab pertanyaan gw ini nantinya)
• Kenapa Catwomannya agresip bener sik? Nyosor Batman 3 kali aja gitu! Ih benci akuu! *cemburu buta*
• It's been said that Bane has been one of Batman's most physically and intellectually powerful foe. But.. hmm, I don't know ya.. He doesn't seem to be intellectual to me. Looks like an ordinary cold-blooded mercenary aja gitu. It must be the costume that makes him looks dumb less smart IMO.
• Talking about his costume. Kenapa tangannya Bane selalu megangin kerah coat-nya gitu sih? Kaya anak SD bawa-bawa ransel gitu deh gayanya. Gengges!
• Another thing about Bane. His mask. Katanya kan itu berisi anaesthetic agent gitu ya yang membuat dia gak merasa sakit karena wajahnya ancur. Nah, where does the anaesthetic agent comes from? Because I don't see any tubes/tanks/anything that could provide such thing. Apa anaesthetic agent-nya disintesis dari udara bebas? How????
• And how does he eat with that mask on? Harus dilepas dulu kalo makan? Berarti dia ngerasa sakit dong pas makan karena topengnya dilepas?
• Did I saw him injecting his body with something? What is it? Steroid? The mysterious anaesthetic agent?
• Bane broke Batman's back (vertebra) during the fight. And the protruding vertebra was easily placed back to it's place with a simple punch on the back. And shortly after, Bruce/Batman got back to his healthy normal self. Guess what? THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE, ALRIGHT! Bruce supposed to be paralysed or something!
• Kenapa SEMUA POLISI diperintahkan buat menuju ke saluran air (yang kemudian bikin SEMUA POLISI terperangkap di reruntuhan selama berhari-hari). Dipikir tempat laen di kota segede itu gak butuh polisi apa? Gimana kalo tiba-tiba ada tindak kriminal, kecelakaan lalu lintas, dll di bagian lain Gotham sedangkan SEMUA POLISI diperintahkan buat pergi kedalam saluran air? It just didn't make any sense.
• Kenapa Christian Bale ganteng banget?

*pertanyaan terakhir boleh diabaikan*

Maybe I'm over analysing the movie. Maybe I should just enjoy it the way it is. Tapi salahnya om Nolan juga yang bikin film ini 'se-realistis mungkin', jadi begitu nemu bagian-bagian yang (gw) dirasa 'kurang realistis', we demand some more answer for those. Kenyataannya juga, setelah nonton film ini jadi terbentuk 2 kubu; kubu orang-orang yang emang dasarnya gak suka komik tapi toh tetep nonton filmnya saking hebohnya, dan kubu DC Comics fanboys (and girls).

Kubu pertama, hampir sama reaksinya kaya gw, menemukan banyak 'keganjilan' di film yang ujung-ujungnya mengecap film ini 'overrated'. Sedangkan kubu kedua mati-matian ngebela jagoan idolanya ini. Akhirnya twitwar deh pada, hahahaha.

Gw? Baleheads iya. DC Comics fangirl iya. Tapi toh tetep bertanya-tanya tentang beberapa hal di filmnya. Mungkin emang yang paling bener kalo nonton film-film superhero kaya gini gak boleh over analysed ya? Nonton lagi aja deh yuk :)

David Cook Live In Jakarta

Dari sekian banyak season American Idol yang gw tonton, cuman ada 2 pemenang yang gw suka banget dan gw ikutin karir pasca American Idolnya. They are Carrie Underwood and David Cook. Postingan kali ini gw mau khusus bahas David Cook yaa :)

I love David Cook since I saw his audition on American Idol. He sang Bon Jovi's Livin' On A Prayer. I'm always rooting for the rockers on the show. And on that season, he is the rocker among all the contestant. He's an original artist, he could turn any song into his signature style. So I though he really deserve to win the show.

Meskipun pasca American Idol lagunya dia yang hits disini cuman 'Always Be My Baby' (yang bahkan bukan lagu originalnya dia, hiks), tapi gw tetep mengikuti karirnya. He later launched two studio albums. I bought all of it, and totally enjoy each of it. Pokoknya Mas David, aku padamu!

Jadi pas doi mau konser di Jakarta, gw pastinya harus nonton dong dong dongg! Fansnya disini gak banyak? Bodo amaatt! Konsernya diramalkan sepi? Bagus dong! Biar gw nontonnya bisa tambah deket sama panggung hihihihiii.

So then I bought the ticket on Disc Tarra Supermal Karawaci. Sebelumnya gw udah pernah beli tiket konser melalui Disc Tarra, tapi belom pernah beli yang di Supermal Karawaci. Dan gak tau kenapa, pelayanan ticket box disini, menurut gw, mengecewakan. Prosedurnya ribet, dan mas-mas di ticket boxnya super clumsy seakan don't know what to do, sehingga makan waktu lumayan lama saat gw mau beli tiket.

Dan waktu penukaran voucher dengan tiket asli H-1 sebelum konser, tiketnya belom ada aja gitu di waktu yang udah dijanjikan. Alhasil besoknya (hari H konser), gw dari RS harus kesana dulu buat ambil tiket, pulang langsung siap-siap, terus cuss ke Tennis Indoor Senayan buat nonton. Ga ada waktu buat goler-goleran dulu dirumah. Huh!

Satu hal yang bikin gw ribet sendiri buat nonton konser ini adalah... baju apa yang harus gw pake ke konsernya nanti?

Gak penting ya? Hahahaha. Tapi asli deh, gw bingung loh mau pake baju apa ke konsenya Mas David. Masalahnya selama ini konser yang gw datangi selalu konser band metal atau rock. And I'm as a natural metalhead pastinya gak pernah pusing mikirin baju apa yang harus gw pake ke konser metal/rock.

Lha tapi ini? Meskipun David Cook genrenya agak-agak rock, tapi menurut gw doi masih tetep pop-rock-kinda-mainstream gitu kan ya, secara lulusannya American Idol. Setelah berkonsultasi dengan pacar, gw memutuskan untuk make blouse item, jegging, sama... sepatu crocs, hahaha. Tadinya sempet mikir buat make wedges ke konsernya David Cook, tapi si pacar memperingatkan kalo nanti di konser gw pasti loncat-loncat kegirangan begitu liat si David (apal banget doi kebiasaan gw di konser hahaha). Jadi daripada nanti keseleo di venue, mending make crocs ajalah.

Gw sampe venue sekitar 15 menit setelah konsernya dimulai. Tapi untungnya penampilan David masih lamaaa banget mulainya, karena di konsernya ini dijadiin juga ajang buat para peserta Indonesian Idol season terakhir (gw ga tau season berapa, males ngikutin) buat tampil perdana di stage diluar Indonesian Idol.

Para peserta yang gw gak tau namanya itu (taunya Yoda, Sean sama Regina doang, laennya entah siapa) perform selama hampir satu jam setelah gw masuk venue. I was kinda bored karena gak ngikutin TV shownya, jadi agak males liat performnya mereka semua, hihihi. Don't judge me! I was there to see David, remember?

Tapi ternyata banyak juga fans Indonesian Idol yang dateng malam itu dan lumayan heboh nontonin mereka-mereka itu. And then they leave when the actual show - David Cook - enters the stage. Hahahaha. Sedangkan gw (sesuai dengan ramalan si pacar), langsung loncat-loncat heboh begitu liat Mas David. Ganteeengg!! Hihihihihi.

It was an enjoyable show. Selain nyanyiin lagu-lagu dari 2 album studionya, David yang keliatan lebih chubby tapi tetep cute itu nyanyiin juga 'Champagne Supernova'-nya Oasis, 'Rock n' Roll' sama 'Whole Lotta Love'-nya Led Zeppelin, dan lagu yang paling ditunggu-tunggu orang satu venue, 'Always Be My Baby'-nya Mariah Carey yang diduetin bareng Regina Idol (plus a sweet kiss on the cheek at the end of the song. Jealouussss!!!!).

Meskipun lagu favorit gw 'Lie', gak dibawain, but I had a great time at the concert. One thing that bothers me though, ada sekelompok cw dan pacarnya yang nonton didepan gw, and they clearly don't know much about David's songs. Sepanjang konser berlangsung mereka malah sibuk ngobrol bertiga dengan suara keras intead of listening or sing along to the songs. Gengges berat! Kalo mau ngobrol ya di PS atau Sency dong neng, jangan didalem venue, kasian kan penonton lain yang mau nikmatin konsernya.

Aside from those posers, I gave the concert a thumbs up. Meskipun bukan termasuk artis 'besar', but David is a true performer. Suaranya keren, interaksinya sama penonton juga keren, dan... ganteng, huahahahahahahahah!
